Leonard Miller, life-long resident of Mallory township, died at his home there last Thursday morning at the age of 55 years, nine months and 25 days, according to word received by Guttenberg relatives. He had been in poor health for some time previous to his death. Mr. Miller was born on a farm in Mallory township, Clayton county, Iowa, on March 01, 1880, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Miller. He was married to Miss Anna Mae Torrey of Millville township. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm in Mallory township, where the deceased spent the remainder of his life. His death is deeply mourned by his wife, three sons, Howard of Guttenberg, Harold and Merrill of Mallory township; two daughters, Mrs. Greta Nading of Littleport, and Miss Mildred Miller of Mallory; his aged father, Marion Miller of Mallory township; two grandchildren, several brothers and sisters, and numerous other relatives and friends. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon, with interment in the Bolsinger cemetery in Mallory township. The funeral was largely attended.
