Monona: Monday noon the Entire community was saddened when word came of te death of Mrs. Margaret Jarms Geraghty, who was again taken to the McGregor hospital on Sunday afternoon. Her illness was of many months' duration, and she was a patient sufferer, ever hopeful to regain her health to be with her husband and children.
Mrs. Geraghty was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Jarms of Monona, growing to womanhood on a farm near Monona. She was a sincere woman, an unusual mother, and a true wife. A better friend and neighbor could not be found than Margaret Geraghty. She was a good Catholic and lived the life of a good Christian wife and mother.
Surviving her are the widower, Joseph Geraghty; three children, Patricia, Emmett and Roger; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Jarms; two brothers, Harold Jarms and Harvey Jarms, and one sister, Dorothy Jarms, and many other relatives and friends. The large attendance at the funeral in the extremely cold weather shows the estreem in which she is held.
Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Thursday morning from St. Patrick's Catholic church, the pastor, Rev. Father Luke Donlon, sang the mass of requiem, and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
The sympathy of the entire community is extended the widower, her children, parents, brothers and sisters in the loss of an exemplary wife, mother, daughter and sister.
Pallbearers were: Henry Bromelkamp, Walter O. Thompson, Vern Thompson, Gilbert F. Fox, Jacob J. Tayek and Eugene Russell, Sr.
