Elkader Register, Thur., 24 Oct. 1912. Volga column.

Mary Jane Leete was born near Volga City, Ia., Feb. 19th, 1856, and died at Volga City Oct. 18th, 1912. On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28th, 1878, she was united in marriage to Chas. Goodin, in Lockport, N._., who died Aug. 17th, 1904. She leaves to mourn her death two sons. one daughter and five grandchildren: William C. Goodin, Warren R. Goodin and Cora A. Green, of Volga City, also a mother, two sisters and four brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Chas Goodin united with the M.E. church under the pastorate of Mr. Cooley. The funeral was held Sunday Oct. 20th, from the M.E. church. Burial was in the Volga Cemetery. Rev. Riper conducted the services. There was a very large attendance.
