Elkader Register, Thur., 27 June 1912. Elkport and Vicinity column.

Mrs. Helen Kriebs died at the home of her son George Sunday at 12 o'clock, after a lingering illness of over a year. Grandma Kriebs was a very kind hearted, industrious woman and beloved by all. At the time of her death she had passed her 88th birthday. The remains were taken to Guttenberg for burial and the funeral was held Wednesday, Rev. Father Brinkman officiating. The sympathy of this community is extended to the bereaved relatives in their sad affliction.

Frank Kriebs and family, George Kriebs and family and Mrs. Sam Younkman, of Elkport, Theo. Schulte, of New Hampton, and Mrs. Melvina Mueller, of Omaha, Neb., attended the funeral of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Marie Helena Kriebs, in this city Wednesday.
