Mrs. Mary Crosby was born in Richmond, Pennsylvania, October 14, 1832, and died at her home in Volga, December 30, 1911, after an illness of five weeks, at the age of seventy-nine years, two months and sixteen days. She leaves one son, three sisters and two brothers to mourn her death, besides numerous nephews and nieces, who will greatly miss Aunt Mary, to all of whom she left loving messages exhorting them to meet her in heaven. During her illness she often spoke of her departure as going home. She passed quietly away, fully trusting in the blessed Savior and longing to be at rest with Him. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Tuesday morning, January 2, 1912. Rev. Beard charge of the service.
