Died, Monday, Sept 05th, 1892, Katie Needham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bartley Needham, of Volga township, aged 10 years and 5 months. Katie was taken sick a year ago with an attack of la grippe, which soon developed into consumption, in which she lingered until called to the land above. During her illness her loving parents and brothers, assisted by kind friends, did all in their power to seek aid and alleviate the sufferings of the loved one. Katie was the only daughter which makes her death doubly severe on her parents. She was just blossoming into womanhood and had a bright future before her. To the bereaved, heart-broken father and mother and brothers we extend our most heartfelt sympathy, and the only word of condolence that we can give is "the Lord knows best." The funeral took place on Wednesday, and was very largely attended, Rev. Father Sheean officiating. May she rest in peace.
