Elkader Register, Thur., 23 June 1892. Volga column.

On Sunday afternoon, June 19, the funeral services of U. F. Leete were held in the M.E. church. Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robeert Leete, of this place. He was born in Guilden, Morden, Cambridgeshire, England, August 30, 1853, and died at Portland, Oregon, June 14, 1892, of cancer of the stomach, after a long illness. A wife and three children, father and mother, four brothers and three sisters are left to mourn his death. They have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. The widow and children will return to their home in the far west in a few days. Mr. and Mrs. John Alderson, of Strawberry Point, and Temp. Leete, of Anamosa, were present at the funeral.
