Death has claimed another of our prominent citizens, A. D. Eaton having died at Chicago, on Friday last, while undergoing a surgical operation. Mr. Eaton had been afflicted for years, and last week went to Chicago to seek relief in an operation, but his system had been so weakened that he could not withstand the shock, and death relieved him from his sufferings. Deceased was 42 years of age, and leaves a wife and six children to morn his death. He was a member of the school board, an Odd Fellow, Workman, and a member of the Iowa Legion of Honor. His funeral on Monday was under the direction of the Odd Fellows, and was attended by members of the other organizations and scholars of the city schools. His death will be deeply mourned by all our citizens.
