Elkader Register, Thur., 04 Feb. 1892. Elkport and Vicinity column.

Died, January 27th, 1892, of membranous croup, Arthur, youngest son of Michael and Julia Farrell, aged one year and ten months. Little Arthur was sick but a few days with that dread disease and all that kind friends and the best of medical aid could do was of no avail, and the little sufferer passed to that land whence no traveler returns. The funeral took place Saturday, Rev. Sheehan officiating. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all in the loss and death of their beloved son.
