Elkader Register, Thur., 14 Jan. 1892.

W. H. Kephart, a son of postmaster Kephart, of Osterdock, was killed near Burlington last Saturday. The young man was a brakeman on the B., C.R. & N. railroad, and in some manner fell between the cars and was crushed to death. He leaves a young wife. The remains were brought to Osterdock for burial. Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved family.
