Elkader Register, Thur., 25 Apr. 1889.
McGregor papers announce the death of Dr. T. W. Wood, of that city, of kidney disease after a long sickness. Deceased was born in the city of Cashel, Ireland, May 05th, 1836, and died April 11th, 1889. He located at McGregor in 1856, and started the first drug store ever opened in that city. He was married in 18_7, and a wife and seven children survive him. He served as a member of the city council for two terms. He was probably better known on account of his worm remedy than for any other reason, as he has persistently pushed it to the front by means of newspaper and other advertising.
