Elkader Register, Thur., 21 Mar. 1889. Elkport column.

Last Saturday the five year old girl of August Guorks* was kicked by a colt and was so badly injured that she died the next morning. The funeral took place Monday and was largely attended.

Note: Lena Gorkow 1884-1889, d/o August & Augusta, has a gravestone in Musfeldt cemetery
