William Foster, a resident of Plum Creek, Clayton county, for many years, died there Tuesday morning last at 9:30 o'clock, and yesterday afternoon his remains were interred in the cemetery at Cottage Hill, Dubuque county. Deceased was born in 1804 and was a native of county Fermanaugh, Ireland. He emigrated to America in 1838, settling at Galena, whence in 1839 he moved to Clayton where he has since resided. Three sons and one daughter survive, viz; James and William, of Texas; Jonathan, of Dubuque, and Mrs. Peasley, of Concord township, widow of the late Thomas Peasley. Wm. Foster had a large acquaintance and was respected by everyone. - Dubuque Telegraph, June 7th.
