Elkader Register, Thur., 31 May 1888.

DIED- May 19th, 1888, at Greeley, Iowa, Byron Scott, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bass, at the age of seven months, nineteen days. The remains were brought to the home of Mrs. Bass' parents near Clayton, on Tuesday the 22nd, and buried in the Farmersburg cemetery Wednesday. Short services were held at the grave by Rev. Robinson.

Burial is possibly in the Giard cemetery where Charles Bass' parents, John G. & Phoebe A. (Draper) Bass, are buried.

Byron's mother = Allie Cole, d/o Liberty W. & Jane D. (McClellen) Cole
