At the family residence in Boardman township, on Friday evening, April 13th, 1888, occurred the death of Mrs. Johanna F. W. C. Broel, nee Borman, of heart disease.
Deceased had been in apparent good health up to within a few moments of her death, and her sudden demise was a severe shock to the family and friends. She was born Dec. 28th, 1846 at Eberholzen, Hanover, Germany, and came to the United States with her parents in 1852. October 22nd, 1871 she was married to Peter Broel and by him had eight children, of whom seven survive her, six girls and one boy, together with her husband.
She was a good woman and tender mother, and her death will be greatly mourned by all who knew her, while heartfelt sympathy will go out to the afflicted family.
The funeral took place on Sunday last, her remains being laid to their long rest in the east side cemetery. Services were held by Rev. F. W. Seifert, and the members of the turnverein attended in a body.
