Mrs. Anna Maker, 830 1/2 Rhomberg Ave., widow of Christian Maker, died at 7 a.m. Saturday at Xavier Hospital after a brief illness. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Strueber Funeral home from where services will be at 9 a.m. Monday to Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery.
Mrs. Maker was born in Clayton, Ia., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clause and had resided in Dubuque for 50 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mrs.Oscar Clause, Garnavillo, Ia., and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, who died April 22, 1936, two brothers and a sister.
