A feeling of gloom passed over our citizens Friday morning, when the announcement was made that Martha Menge was dead. Although she was quite sick, her friends thought nothing serious. She was up and around Tuesday. The immediate cause of her death was internal hemorrag. Martha was 14 years old, and beloved and respected by all. All that kind friends and the best of medical skill could do, was of no avail. Her parents have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction. The funeral occurred Sunday and was largely attended, Rev. Fiegenbaum officiating.
