Elkader Register, Thur., 10 Nov. 1887.

DIED- At his residence in this township, on Sunday morning at four o'clock, after a long sickness, Christian Bettcher. He leaves a wife and six children. The funeral took place on Tuesday, his remains being buried in the East Side cemetery.
