Elkader Register, Thur., 29 Sept. 1887.

DIED- At his late residence in Cox Creek township, on Wednesday, September 21st, Henry Klahr, aged 81 years; cause of his death was old age. Deceased was a native of Hanover, Germany, but has lived in Cox Creek township since 1854, respected by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and an adopted son, Charles Klahr. The funeral took place at Mederville on Saturday last.
