Elkader Register, Thur., 22 Sept. 1887.

Emma M. S. Diers, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Diers, of Read township, died on Friday inst., of typhoid fever, after a short sickness. She was three years, one month and 22 days of age. The funeral occurred on Sunday last, and was one of the largest ever had in Read township. The parents have our sympathy in their affliction.
