John Crimmens, eldest son of Jerry Crimmens, of Giard township, section boss of the C.M. & St.P. R'y, employed at Marion Junction, Dak., while standing near an engine, a large sized chunk of coal rolled from the tender, striking John square on the head, killing him almost instantly. He was 2_ (looks like 29) years of age, a hard, earnest and energetic worker. The remains were to arrive in this city last evening or this morning. The funeral will take place from the Catholic church, Rev. Father Reilly officiating to-day. The sympathy of all is with the bereaved family. - McGregor Times, July 14th.
