Clayton County Journal, 26 Jan. 1887. Osterdock column.

Mrs. Rachel Cox died Jan. 23d, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Y. Boadley. The remains were laid away in the Bethel cemetery. Mrs. Cox was 84 years old and leaves many friends to mourn her loss. She was one of the oldest ladies in Mallory township, a good neighbor, kind mother and loved by all who knew her.
