Funeral services of Mrs. Edna Miller of Waterloo, a former resident of this place, were held Sunday afternoon at the M.E. church conducted by the pastor, Rev. T. J. Elwick. The pall bearers were: Fred E. Davis, Fred E. Tracy, R. C. Norris, Charles Blanchard and Will Bowers. Interment took place in the local cemetery.
Mrs. Edna Della Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Pollard, was born in Clayton county, Iowa, Oct. 01, 1874. She grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to John A. Miller, July 30, 1896, living on a farm near here. One daughter, Ruth, blessed this union. For sixteen years Mrs. Miller made her home with her cousin, Mrs. Eva Davis, at this place. About four years ago she went to Waterloo to make her home with her daughter, Ruth. Mrs. Miller's health has been poorly for a number of years and she has been confined to her bed the last five months being cared for by her daughter. The deceased was a member of the local R.N.A. and Rebekah Lodge and while residing here was an earnest worker. She was a member of the M.E. Church.
Her mother preceded her in death in 1912 and father in 1888. She leaves to mourn her loss besides her daughter, one sister, Mrs. Ada McMillian of Dubuque, also two brothers, Walter W. Pollard and Lyle A. Pollard of Ft. Dodge, and other relatives and a large circle of friends.
