GUTTENBERG: Relatives in Guttenberg received the sad news from La Crosse of the death of John Groth on Monday morning. Mr. Groth was taken to La Crosse last Sunday for treatment but nothing could be done for him. The body was brought to Guttenberg Monday p.m.

The widow, one daughter, Eva, and two sons, Howard and Alva, his mother, Mrs. Fred Groth, and several brothers mourn his death. Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran church Thursday afternoon and interment was made in the City cemetery.
