Friends were shocked last Tuesday soon after dinner to learn that Mrs. Richard Alderson, Sr., had passed away from a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Alderson was a true and faithful friend, especially to those in need, and all who knew her will remember her as an unselfish and worthy example of loyalty and justice to all.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Thursday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. T. J. Elwick. The pall bearers were neighbors of the deceased: F. E. Davis, G. W. Barr, J. F. Grassmeyer, Richard Laity, Jr., Thos. Laity and J. W. Troup. Interment took place in our beautiful cemetery.
