Mrs. Anton Cherney of this city, who had been at Iowa City for treatment, died and the body was brought to Guttenberg Wednesday.

Mrs. Anna Schlueter Cherney was born in Jefferson township on Jan. 12, 1893. She was a daughter of Lawrence and Antonette Schlueter. About 12 years ago she and Anton Cherney were married here in St. Mary's church by the Rev. Brinkman. Mrs. Cherney has been ailing for some time. A husband, two daughters and two sons mourn her death, also a sister and several brothers.

The funeral was held in St. Mary's church Friday morning at 9 o'clock. The Rev. J. Dupont officiated and burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery.
