Word was received here last week that T. W. Thompson of Hot Springs, Ark., had passed away at that place. His brother, H. W. Thompson, went down there and brought the remains to Farmersburg Monday. The funeral was held at the Norway church Tuesday, Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating.

Thov W. Thompson passed away at Hot Springs, Ark., Jan. 29, 1931, at the age of 70 years, five months and 28 days. The cause of death was acute dilation of the heart. He was born in Wagner township, Clayton County, Iowa, July 31, 1860, the son of William and Barbara Thompson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church. He lived on the home farm in Wagner township until the year 1882, when he went to Cavalier county, N. Dak., where he was engaged in farming a number of years. In 1904 he went south and spent most of his time in St. Louis and Hot Springs, Ark., since that time. he has made his home with his sister Rachel for the past seven summers. He is survived by one sister, Rachel, two brothers, Herbran and Lars and four nieces, all of Farmersburg. Funeral services were held at the Norway church, Feb. 3rd. Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated.
