Henry O. Johnson was born in Marion township, July 09, 1877. He passed away January 24, 1931, at his home in Wagner township, Clayton county, at the age of 53 years, 6 months and 15 days.

He had been in poor health for a number of years and had been seriously ill for about six weeks.

He lived in Clayton county all his life and on the farm where he died he had lived about 25 years. He was a member of the Norway Lutheran Church.

His father and mother, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death, Ruth Johnson, 39 years ago; Olavus Johnson in 1909, and Otto Johnson nine years ago.

He leaves to mourn his departure nine brothers and sisters: Mrs. Helen Larson of Lily, S.Dak., Mrs. Joseph Larson of Lily, S.Dak.; Mrs. Elmer Ronquist, St. Olaf, Ia., Mrs. Herbert Olson, Elkader, Iowa, Rudolph Johnson, Elgin, Iowa, Mrs. Will Gehring, Elkader, Iowa, Blaine Johnson, St. Olaf, Iowa, Bennie Johnson and Alvin Johnson on the home farm.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 27, 1931, at the home and Norway church, with Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating.

The pall bearers were: Andrew Wold, Theo. Wold, Benny Wold, Chris. Christenson, Emil Johnson, Johnny Johnson.

There is a land of peace,
Good angels know it well;
Glad songs that never cease
Within its portals swell;
Around its glorious throne
Ten thousand saints adore
Christ, with the Father One,
And Spirit, evermore.
