Funeral services of Miss Ella V. Kellogg, aged 71 years, occurred at the M.E. church Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. W. Cleveland, of Edgewood, assisted by the local pastor, Rev. T. J. Elwick. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Talcott, Mrs. O. Gipper and G. Gill, with Miss Eva Preston at the piano. The pallbearers were: O. Teed, B. Wilkemeyer, Jas. Cole, John Kramer, Albert Kramer and Fred Farrington. Interment took place in the local cemetery.
Miss Kellogg was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Kellogg, was born and spent her life in Clayton County, Iowa. For forty years she was a successful school teacher. Miss Kellogg was taken ill with pneumonia and loving hands administered every want but the angel of death called her home last Thursday. Her brother Charles is quite ill with the same disease and was unable to attend the funeral.
Her father preceded her in death Aug. 12, 1877, a brother, George, passed away in infancy; Orin, Jan. 07, 1926; the mother, Aug. 08, 1928. Surviving are the brother and one sister, Mrs. Belle Troupe, one nephew, Harry Troupe, of Dundee, besides other relatives and a large circle of friends.
