Friends were surprised to hear of the sudden death of Dr. John E. Webb, Safety Director for the Interstate and Central States Power Companies, with headquarters at Dubuque, who died of a heart attack in an automobile of George E. Taylor, General Manager of the Interstate Power Co., while they were on their way from Lancaster to Dubuque. He is survived by two sisters and three brothers. He practiced dentistry here for years, being 57 years old. He made his home at the Hotel Julian Dubuque. The remains were brought to McGregor Thursday to the home of his sister, Mrs. Al. Clemens, and funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Rev. J. Priestly conducting the services. Interment was in Pleasant Grove cemetery. Executives of both the Interstate and Central Power Companies of Dubuque and Decorah were here to attend the services.
