Levi Morton Erickson was born in Highland township, Clayton county, Iowa, November 18, 1888, the son of John and Christina Erickson and died March 4, 1920, after a short illness at his home on the farm near Farmersburg. He had almost recovered from an attack of La Grippe, but went out to soon with the result that he suffered a relapse.

Deceased was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1902, in the Highland church. On August 4, 1910 he was married to Hilma Benson and to this union two children were born, Iowa Lizetta and Eria LaVon.

Besides his wife and two children, he leaves to mourn his early death his mother, Mrs. John Erickson, of Elkader, one sister, Mrs. Ben Leonard, and three brothers, Edward, Albert and Benjamin, all of whom reside in this vicinity except Albert, who is a resident of Minneapolis, Minn.

Interment was made at the cemetery of the Norwegian Lutheran church of Highland township. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. N. Arveson at the house and by Rev. C. Hjortholm at the church, Saturday, March 6, 1920.
