Elkader Register, Thur., 04 Mar. 1920.
Ida Maria Hansen has gone home to the house of which our Lord speaks when he says, "In my Father's House are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you so. I go to prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also."
Ida attended the funeral of her cousin Ruth, Feb. 9th. She seemed to be well then, but shortly after she took sick and a few days later she was no more, passing away Feb. 17th at 2:30 p.m. Deceased was born Oct. 24th 1889 in McHenry county, N. Dak., to Hans and Kjisti Hansen. She leaves to mourn her loss her father, four brothers and one sister, Martha Hansen.
February 16th she was laid to rest in the Norway cemetery, but only a few together with the pastor could attend the funeral. Her death is a hard blow to the dear family, yes to all. We sympathize with them. Ida is not dead, she "sleepeth." The day will dawn when the Lord will call her forth to life. Therefore we say even now, "Thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
A more detailed obituary will be given at the memorial services later.
