Elkader Register, Thur., 19 Feb. 1920.

Irma Irene Nolte was born in Guttenberg, Sept. 29, 1887, and was called to the great beyond Feb. 16, 1920, at the age of 32 years, 4 months, 17 days. Irma attended the Guttenberg public school graduating in 1905. For five years she was a successful teacher in the rural schools of Clayton County. August 2nd, 1910 she was united in marriage to Harry Boleyn, of Volga City. To them were born two sons, Robert, aged 8 years, and Roy, aged 6 years, also two daughters, one passed away at the age of 16 days and the other, Helen Cleone, aged two years. For one year Irma has been in poor health. Gradually her strength left her. For ten months she was unable to care for her little girl who stayed with her grandparents in town. The morning of February 2 Irma came to see her baby girl but was to weak to make the trip back to her home in the country. Her strength failed rapidly and she was unable to be around the house. About midnight of the 15th she told her husband to take care of the children and then she went quietly to sleep and shortly after five o'clock Monday morning February 16 she crossed the great divide. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Nolte, of Guttenberg, three brothers; Grover C. Nolte, of Tacoma, Wash.; Henry Nolte, of Calif.; and Sumner Nolte, of Moline, Ill.; four sisters: Mrs. A. Sirtle, of Altoona, Pa.; Mrs. Lydia Lancaster, of Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Harry Hansel, of Osterdock, Ia.; and Mrs. John Mohl, of Davenport, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends. About nine years ago Irma joined the M.E. church and until she was unable to attend was in her place at Sunday School and church. She always sent her boys to Sunday School. Robert is finishing his fifth year without missing a Sunday, and Roy is finishing his third year, perfect in attendance. She was always patient, never complaining, perfectly satisfied with her lot. She has passed beyond but her memory and example is ever with us, guiding and helping us onward until the time when we will all be brought together in that other world over there. Rev. G. L. Hi_siema officiated and burial was made in Hill Crest Cemetery.
