The remains of Edward Madden, who died of tuberculosis at the Woodman Sanitarium at Woodman, Colo., were brought to Guttenberg for burial, which took place Sunday, June 20th, from the residence of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Wm. Putzier, and at the cemetery under the auspices of the Woodman lodge. Deceased was raised in Dubuque and was, at the time of his death, 36 years of age. In 1901 he was married to Mary Putzier, which union was blessed with four children. He resided in Guttenberg for a number of years and until three years ago, when he moved, with his family, to Leavenworth, Kans. Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his early demise, one brother, Thomas, in Leavenworth, Kansas, and one sister in Chicago.
