Kasper Graesch, a resident of this vicinity for many years, died at his son's home, Saturday evening, June 25. He was born Feb. 12th, 1828, in Dalherda, Bavaria, Germany, spending his boyhood years there.

He came to this country in 1852, and settled near Fort Wayne, Ind. In 1856 he came to Dubuque and in March, 1858, he was married, coming to this place where he has resided ever since.

There was born to them four children, two sons and two daughters. One son and ten grandchildren survive him.

He was 76 years, 4 months and 13 days old when he died. The remains were taken to our cemetery for burial Monday and laid beside his wife, who died in August, 1902.
