Elkader Register, 03 Sept. 1885.

DIED - At the County Farm, on Tuesday, September 1st, 1885, occurred the death of Robert Von Bergen, at the age of 31 years. Deceased formerly resided in Elk township, but about two years ago was attacked by scroffula, and has been confined to his bed since that time. He was born at Interlaken, Switzerland. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss.
