Clayton County Register, 07 Jan. 1885.

A daughter of Thos. Higgins, in Read township, died on Monday. We have learned no particulars.

Elkader Register, 14 Jan. 1885,

Mr. John J. Sheridan, and sister, of Dubuque, were here last week, being called by the death of their cousin, Miss Stella Higgins, of Read township.

Note: Burial in St. Joseph's Catholic, Garnavillo. Gravestone = Mary S. Higgins, died 1/6/1885. Shares the gravestone w/Thomas and Bridget Higgins and John & Mary Reed (her maternal g-parents)
