Mrs. Mary L. Bacon, whose death occurred Nov. 7, 1884, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Parker Rowley, in this county, was born in Portland County, N.Y., May [16, or 18], 18?3 [looks like 1803].
In early life she united with the Seventh day Baptists, and continued with them until 1854, at which period she became interested in the views of the Seventh day Adventists with whom she was identified to the time of her death.
She was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom survive her. The infirmities of old age and a dropsical complaint finally terminated her life, and she died in the triumphs of a living faith.
Her funeral was largely attended and the services were conducted by Elder E.A. Marsh who gave a discourse from Rev. 11:13.
