Elkader Register, 17 Sept. 1884.

Susan Schnepf, a step-daughter of Recorder Schecker, died at his home in this place, on Wednesday evening last, after quite a long sickness. Her remains were taken to Elkport for burial on Friday last, and were interred in the cemetery at that place. The afflicted family have the heart felt sympathy of all in their bereavement.
