Linda Lou Ambrose, 72, of Luana, Iowa died Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at her home in Luana. Linda was born April 7, 1950 to Clayton and Lucille (Glawe) O’Neal in Edgewood, Iowa. She attended country school when she was younger and continued her education at MFL high school.
Linda was united in marriage with Robert Ambrose on January 27, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Monona, Iowa. Two daughters were born to this union. Throughout the years, Linda enjoyed cooking at The White Springs and Doc & Katie’s Corner Tap, and she also worked at Advanced Transformers. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with family and friends. Linda also spent much time attending to her flowers and gardening as well as spending precious time with her great-grand-daughter Willow.
Surviving Linda is her longtime life partner, James Schlitter of Luana, Iowa; her daughters, Tammy (Paul) White of Sweet Springs, Missouri and Terri (Beau) Bennett of Lansing, Iowa; four grandchildren, Benjamin White, Savannah White, Brandon Lough and Brianna (Jon Kansier) Gilliland; one great-grandchild, Willow Kansier; two sisters, Susan Ludvik and Diane Doerring; sister-in-law, Nancy Blong; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Linda in death were her parents, Clayton and Lucille O’Neal; husband, Robert Ambrose; two brothers, Clay O’Neal and Jimmy O’Neal; two sisters, Donna Starkey and Sherry O’Neal; three grandchildren, Michael, Shauni and Casi Lauer; and in-laws, Joe Ludvik, Milo Doerring and Clifford Starkey.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Monona, Iowa.
Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery, McGregor, Iowa with Deacon Patrick Malanaphy as the officiant.
