Elkader Register, Fri., 07 Mar. 1884.

Joseph Kirch, a highly respected citizen of Guttenberg, died on the 29th ult., after a sickness of about two months. He was about 33 years of age, and leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss. He was a member of the Masonic and I.O.O.F. fraternities, and the funeral, which occurred on Sunday, was conducted by the latter order. Thus has another good man passed to his reward.
