Elkader Register, Thur., 07 Oct. 1880.

DIED - At his residence in Cox Creek township, on Oct. 4th, 1880, William Baars; aged 56 years.

Mr. Baars was a native of Mecklenberg, Germany, but at an early age emigrated to the United States and located in Cox Creek twp., where he has since resided. He was highly respected and his death will be mourned by all. He leaves six grown children to mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent parent.
