Elkader Register, Thur., 19 Aug. 1880. Elkport column.

Mrs. Nick Delaney, aged 75 years, died of heart disease at her home in Volga township last Tuesday. The funeral was largely attended, Father Coyle preaching the funeral sermon.

Initially buried in the Colony Catholic cemetery, now abandoned. In 1918 all of the remains of persons buried in Colony Catholic were removed. The final resting place of Mrs. Delaney's remains are unknown. For more information click the link below:
