DIED - Hubbard, Rudolphus, Dec. 29, 1903, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.F. Bush, Joliet, Ill. Age 72 years.

Deceased was born April 17th, 1832. Married Hannah E. Giles in 1864, who died April 8, 1880. In about the year 1865 he moved to McGregor where he lived until 1882. During the forepart of his residence here he conducted a jewelry store in which business he continued until 1874 when he was appointed postmaster. This office he held for two terms being succeeded by J.H. Andrick.

For a number of years he was a member of the Board of education, being its President from about 1874 to 1882.

He was a good man and valuable citizen and has many friends here who will regret to learn of his departure.

The funeral was held yesterday, the 30th, at two o'clock p.m. interment at Joliet, Ill.

All of the children exception Anita, the youngest child, who is teaching in Oakland Cal. were present. The children are: Giles, of Toledo, Ohio; Mary L. of Aurora, Ill; Marion E. of Wellesly College, Mass; Mrs. Emma Bush, Joliet, Ill.; Anita G. of Oakland, Cal.
