Elkader Register, Thur., 01 July 1880. Clayton column.

Mrs. L. E. Parmele, aged 70 years, a respected resident of this place, died suddenly on Friday June 25th. She slept with her niece and got up so much earlier that morning than usual, that her niece became alarmed, and on going in search of her aunt, at 3 o'clock a.m., found her dead in the kitchen, supposed to have been stricken by heart disease. The remains were taken on Sunday to near Glen Haven, Wis., for burial.
