Elkader Register, Thur., 29 Apr. 1880.

DIED - At her residence in Elkport, Iowa, on April 27th, 1880, Mrs. Johanna Soll; aged 61 years.

Mrs. Soll was born in Bavaria, Germany in 1819, and with her husband came to this country in 1850, settling at Fredericksburg, Maryland. In 1857 they again emigrated, coming to Elkport, where she has since resided, and where her husband died a number of years ago. Mrs. Soll was highly respected for her many good qualities and will be sadly missed from the family circle. She leaves 3 grown sons to mourn her loss, and who have the sympathy of all in their affliction. The funeral occurred yesterday, (Wednesday) afternoon in the Elkport cemetery, Rev. Dorself officiating, her remains being followed to their final home by a large number of friends and relatives.
