Elkader Register, Thur., 22 Apr. 1880.

DIED - At the residence of her husband, in Volga township, on Wednesday, April 11th, 1880, Mrs. Alex. Meyer, aged 53 years, 4 months and 10 days.

Mrs. Meyer was born in Mauren, Germany, Dec. 4th, 1826, and came to this country, settling near Guttenberg, where she has resided since 1851. By her death, a husband and 3 children are left to mourn the loss of a wife and mother. The funeral occurred on Friday the 16th inst., and her remains were followed to their "long home" in the Kann cemetery by a large number of relatives and friends.
