Elkader Register, Thur., 22 Apr. 1880.
A two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. August Benschneider, of Volga township, died on Wednesday of last week, of croup. He was buried on Thursday. The afflicted parents have the sympathy of friends in their sad affliction.

1880 mortality schedule names him as Max, and age 1 1/2 yrs.
