Elkader Register, Thur., 29 Jan. 1880. Elkport column.

A 13 year old daughter of August Fritz died January 20th, of diphtheretic croup, and was buried Jan. 21st, the funeral was largely attended.

Note! 1880 mortality schedule, Volga twp., names her as Mary, age 14, born Iowa, died of diptheria
