Marjorie Markey
Services were held for Marjorie Jane Markey, 58, Wednesday, March 5, 1980 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. R. D. Ehlers officiating at Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Prayer services were held March 3, 1980 at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ralph Lammers officiating at the Campbell Mortuary of Bellevue, Neb.
Marjorie Markey was born Oct. 30, 1921 at Readlyn, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Hulda (Peters) Pape. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Monona High School in 1939.
She was married to Stanley Stuber and they were the parents of a daughter, Connie. After his death, she was married to James Markey, Oct. 7, 1951 and they reared four children.
She died Saturday, March 1, 1980 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Omaha, Neb.
Surviving her are: husband, James; daughters, Mrs. Pat (Connie) Throneberry of St. Louis; Mrs. Robert (Veronica) Dalton of Omaha, Neb.; sons, Dennis, Michael and Tony of Bellevue, Neb.; two grandchildren; brother, Merwyn Pape of Milipitas, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Dorothy) Radloff, Postville; Mrs. Lorenz (Emelyn) Lenth, Jr. of Luana; and Mrs. Robert (Carol) Schillig of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Stanley.
